What Causes Pain Around The Area Of Nose And Mouth Post Cauterisation?

I had a quite a thorough nose cauterisation on thursday, and since then my nose and the area between my nose and my mouth on the right side of my face have really been hurting, including my right front tooth which is still really painful. The headaches have gotten better and so has the overall pain but everything still hurts quite badly, especially my right front tooth so I was wondering about any nerve damage?
