What Causes Pain Around The Chest And Ribs?

Small chest pains that move around from each side to under ribs even. Fine 90% of time. Went to doctor for a checkup and she said I sound fine and lungs were clear. Been going on around 2 weeks now. Pain isn t bad at all, just barely noticeable. Doctor said to take allergy meds and check back in a month it might just be inflammation. Doesn t change at all or get any worse with exercise or running. 35 years old and healthy. Thanks.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The most important question is if you experience any other symptoms than the slight pain? For example, difficulty breathing, lightheadedness, swollen feet, irregular heartbeats, fever? Is there a history of trauma to your torso? If there is nothing out of the ordinary than the slight pain, I recommend you use painkillers (Aspirin, NSAID) for a week or so, and see if it helps.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen
