I have right side pain where my gallbladder was removed a yr ago. I have been checked with CT Scan and xrays. I have been to family doctor and the ER. The pain is always there but sometimes worse then other times. If you have ever worked out to the point you cramp on your side that us the pain x10. I do not run a fever.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms may be suggestive of gallbladder stones so you should do at least ultrasound or CT scan to evaluate it more accurately. This is caused by stone in bile duct and is very common condition. Stones are see more commonly in obese people and those with diabetes. You need to change your dietary habits first. Need to avoid fried food, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy food. You should eat more milk products, vegetables and boiled food. If there is no improvement on lifestyle or dietary changes, then surgery is recommended. Other causes include pancreatitis or pleuordinia and should be considered if gallbaldder stones are ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
