What Causes Pain Around The Groin Area?

Hello! I went to the ER last night with what I thought may have been a kidney stone. I had a sudden pain in my left side that quickly went to my groin area. After CT scan and blood work I was told I had Epididymitis. I have read up on this term, but with some of the symptoms I m having I had question about. Would this cause my leg to feel numb and be painful to walk?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

This would more be in keeping with back pain. The nerves that supply the lower limb come out from between the bones in the lower back.

If they are impaired in any way, this can cause numbness and pain. Altered function of the nerves is called neuropathy

It can be permanent or temporary and there are different possible causes.

If it continues, then you may need to be assessed for this condition.

I hope this helps
