Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had 2 colonoscopy s done in 3 years and have had 2 small polyps removed and they are not cancerous. Have been having pain in my kidney area and triglycerides and creatine were both high during blood work. Had CAT scan done and was told my gallbladder has been removed. The only problem is I have never had it removed. They then said it was just very small. I have had 2 CAT s done in 2 years and a HIDA test done and never been told that. They also told me I have a 3cm lesion in my sigmoud colon and suggest a colonoscopy. I just had my last colonoscopy done in December of 2016 with I polyp but no other issues. What would cause my gallbladder to shrink so small the could barely see it? I also had a really high ejection fraction on the HIDA test. Would removing the gallbladder help?
* Gall bladder size can be altered in chronic dysfunction or contractility issue through underlying fibrosis changes. Removal of gall bladder can help only if it is the sole reason of pain.
* The kidney pain with raised Creatinine needs detailed work up with urology to rule out kidney stone and other excretory issues before heading to gall bladder removal.
Hope I have answered your query.
