What Causes Pain At Stent Insertion Site On Wrist?

my husband has a stent placed four months ago with the insertion in his right wrist. It still is very painful and he has a hard time moving it around. The pian has really not abated the whole time. Does a wrist insertion pain ever last that long? He had another stent placed earlier using the groin as the entrance with no problem. Thanks

Pain at the site of stent insertions can be due to persistent infection. In your case, in wrist, there is less of soft tissue as compared to groin.Since the stent was inserted about 4 months back, there could be some degree of underlying tendon injury which may take more injury.
