What Causes Pain At The Base Of Neck And Top Of Head?

I have a pain in my neck starting at the base of my neck and going up to the top of my head. At times when I turn my head, I get a twanging feeling like a rubber band is snapping in my lower part of my neck. I have had this feeling for about 5 weeks now thinking it would just go away.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, this kind of neck pain could be due to cervical disk disease to confirm this better to get done the MRI test, till then it can be managed with "Tab Chlorzoxazone with Diclofenac" once in day, cervical collar can be used if you get much relief then it could be muscular spasm then no need to go for test, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day
