What Causes Pain Behind Eye, Temple And Back Of Neck?

I have a pain right behind my right eye, my right temple and the back right side of my neck. Especially when I get up from laying down. What can be the issue? I tried taking ibprophen and it didn t help at all. Those points also hurt if I move my head up and down. I ve never had this problem before. It s been 2 days now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a sinus infection. I suggest to do a sinus xray to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.

I also suggest using saline nasal spray for local application. If the diagnosis is confirmed, antibiotics may be needed to treat the infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
