What Causes Pain Behind The Head Radiating Towards The Neck?

Hi, on Friday I got a very weird pain in the back of my head (crown area right side) it was almost like a headache yet it was different. Extremely painful, as if I was going to get migraine. It has radiated down my neck just on the right side. I feel like my lymph node at my school is swollen. Today I still have pain and feel like my brain hurts. Any ideas and should I be concerned?Thank you.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain behind the head radiating towards the neck . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like poor posture , working at a desk for too long without changing position , sleeping with your neck in a bad position , jerking the neck during exercises , arthritis and fibromyalgia .

It can also also occur due to pinched nerve , cervical spondylosis and cervical radiculopathy. For now do stretching exercises under expert , give your neck proper rest , use cervical pillow on expert's advice and drink half spoon of turmeric powder in warm glass of milk daily . Give your neck proper rest and work in right posture .
