What Causes Pain Behind The Head Upon Swallowing Saliva?

Hi, I have a pain in back of my head for almost a week, the pain only comes when I swallow my saliva. After getting up from bed it is the worst pain and it gets better during the day. here are my questions for you: what is the reason for this pain? should I see a doctor at this point? thanks

Hi,

You are having acute pharyngitis and the cause of pain on the back of the throat on swallowing. You should have gargled with warm saline water.

You should undergo an examination by a doctor. As you need antibiotics like Amoxicillin and Clavulanate combination.
