What Causes Pain Below The Left Breast After A Hernia Surgery?

I had hernia surgery 14 months ago. I had 1 large hernia and 3 small ones. My surgeon put a large mesh in my abdomen. I now have a pain and tenderness about one inch below my left breast. It is about 2 inches from one of the small incisions from my surgery. Is is possible to have another hernia that high in my abdomen? forget it i will not pay two physicians duh

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Pain that you have may not be due to a hernia, but it could be due to muscular pain or nonspecific pain. Muscular spasm is very likely, and it is happening due to the wrong posture either during sleep or in a sitting position. Try to maintain a good posture. If the pain persists, then it needs to be brought for clinical examination, but for sure it may not be a hernia again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
