What Causes Pain Between Left Knee And Foot While On Crestor?

I am having unexplained pain between my left knee to my foot - like a cramp or Charlie horse. I recently started taking generic crestor (roustatin?) I have been using it for approximately 3 - 4 months. Before that time I used Crestor. Could the generic crestor be causing this problem? It started about a month ago and only happened occasionally in my sleep, waking me up. Now it is happening every night and goes away after I am up and busy in the mornings. Should I quit taking it? I go to the doctor in about a month for my regular check up. I am 67 years old and female.
