What Causes Pain Between The Breast While Suffering From Heart Murmur?

My daughter has a heart murmur and she fell a few weeks ago. Now she has burning between her breast with a sharp pain and hard to breath. She just told me this is happening does one have to do with the other? And should I rush her to the emergency room or can I bring her in the morning

Hi,

Since she had blunt chest trauma due to fall down, possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more likely. So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief. 1. Give her simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen. 2. Apply warm water pad on affected areas chest. 3. Tell her to avoid sudden jerky movements of chest.

Don't worry, she will be alright with all these. If not improving then consult doctor. This pain is unlikely to associate with heart murmur.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
