What Causes Pain Between The Breasts While Suffering From Bronchitis?

Been diagnosed with bronchitis last week. Coughing can be very intense, along with the congestion. Been having discomfort in between breast and some pain in left breast. Had cardio catch, ekg, stress test and echo done, all clear. Mamo came back all good the other day. Kinda feels like pain is comping from back & scapula area. Could this be heart related. BP was 117/72 73 bpm. No other symptoms. Just body aches from the coughing, I think.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
seems your heart parameters are all normal. breast tissue is also normal.
the pain is definitely due to the lung infection. either your excessive coughing is straining the muscles or the pain sensitivity is due to the pleural lining being involved.
get a chest x-ray to rule out pneumothorax or pleurisy. If the x-ray chest is normal do not worry.
nebulising with duolin along with doxofylline 400 mg once daily and a mucolytic and antiallergic will ease the cough. a broad spectrum antibiotic like Augmentin 625 mg twice a day for 1 week would also ease the infection
