What Causes Pain Between The Breasts?

my sister is a kidney transplant recipient, has had a TMI and now her BP is high - 188/108. she has been feeling fine other than her normal headaches. her kidney is doing fine. she has had a "catch" or pain between her breasts that takes her breath away. what is going on. she is on bp med as well

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, we should first rule out cardiac causes for her central chest pain because she is hypertensive patient.
So get done blood pressure monitoring, ecg and 2d echo first.
If all these are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Sometimes, gastritis can also cause ventral burning chest pain.
So give her antacid like pantoprazole (proton pump inhibitor) on empty stomach.
Don't worry, she will be alright. Better to rule out cardiac cause for chest pain first.
