What Causes Pain Between The Buttocks?

I doc, I have this pain in my butt crack. Whenever I sit or lay down it hurts like crazy. Theres a lump above my anus and the pain spreads itself into my left butt muscle. My doc said it could be a contusion, I ve been taking antibiotics and ibprofun for two days and it doesn t seem to be helping very much. Do you know what it could be

I can understand your concern.
Pain and swelling in buttock region should always be checked for anal fissures and external hemorrhoids.
So consult surgeon and get done clinical examination of anal canal.
If it is hemorrhoids then surgical removal is the treatment of choice.
If it is fissures then application of lignocaine gel, warm water both, painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs are useful.
So first diagnose and then start appropriate treatment.
