What Causes Pain Between Thumb And Fingers While On Thyroid Medication?

Dear Doctor, My wife she is a thyroid problem inner throttle the gland already removed.she eating tablets every day.now she getting pain between thumb and for finger may be in the vein .Kindly advice some medication. Best Regards George Joseph

Hello, Thanks for the query. If she is on levothyroxine treatment for thyroidectomy, then it is essential that TSH levels should be maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L, so as to be free from any symptoms related to hypothyroidism. The pain being mentioned may also be due to inadequate dosa of levothyroxine, so please check what is the TSH value and whether dose of levothyroxine is adequate. Thanks
