What Causes Pain Despite Having The Appendix Removed?

I had my appendix removed in 2011 and have been experiencing the same pain I did back then and sometimes the pain makes it difficult to move or even walk. Would I have to have surgery again or seek medical help? Is it possible to go through it twice even though it was removed?

Hello,

Your appendix has been already removed. So now it cannot be appendicitis pain.

It can be colitis or diverticulitis like pain. I suggest you investigate with ultrasonography of abdomen or pelvis for primary workup.

You can be prescribed antibiotic course and fiber supplements for your pain after reviewing your USG report.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
