What Causes Pain Due To Swelling Of Lumps On Both Palms?

Question an symptom I m having Hard, solid lumps, under 1cm diameter, fixed. Have multiplied, in palm of both hands./ do not cause pain until they begin to swell (usu when using hands for working around house). Have been told they are fat deposits, but I have doubts; do you have suggestion what this might be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
As per your symptoms,it appears that lumps could be due to skin thickening. It happens due to friction and pressure due to work as you have mentioned.
Fat deposits are usually very rare to occur on palm, also they are soft in consistency.
Try using moisturizer to hands twice daily.
You need to consult your physician if the lumps are growing in size,if you are having severe pain , if there is change in color and consistency.
Hope my advise was helpful to you.
