What Causes Pain During Intercourse Long After An Abortion As A Result Of A Sexual Assault?

Hey there... so I m not sure what s going to come out of this or wether i should go to see a gynecologist in person... but about 4 years ago, I was sexually assaulted which ended in pregnancy and then an abortion procedure... now, I haven t had sex since about 3 months after the procedure because it hurts, burns, and makes me want to cry my eyes out for days (or so it did back then).... I m wondering if you can tell me why it hurts so bad and what I can do to reduce or get rid of the pain. Thanks.

You are having bad memories attached with Intercourse.
So this is most likely cause for your symptoms.
Sometimes dry vagina, hormonal imbalance can also cause painful Intercourse.
So consult gynecologist and get done clinical examination of vagina and hormone levels.
You may need lubricant gel and hormone pills.
Also consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions regarding your previous experience.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
