Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my two year old son is complaining about some kind of iching or pain while peeing. He can t explain as he can t talk, that s what I understood, today I saw a mucus kind of thing while changing his diaper. And it was all urine no poop. So what s that? Is there any kind of infection and should I go to pediatrician
Your child symptoms seem to be related to a urinary tract infection. I suggest to do a urine test and a complete blood count for further evaluation. If the diagnosis is confirmed, the treatment consists in antibiotics. Meanwhile, I suggest giving liquids and Tylenol to relieve the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
