What Causes Pain During Urination?

I have been experiencing pain during and after urination in the last 2weeks. I reported it to my doctor last week. She ordered a blood and urine sample test. She informed me 3days ago that my blood and urine tests checked out good. And that my PSA was good. The pain has intensified in the last 24hs. Advise please. Thanks. William

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the pain during and after urination during the last 2 weeks could be due to the passage of any kidney stones if nothing was found in your blood and urine sample.

Discuss this further with a nephrologist. Should run abdominal ultrasound and perhaps a further ct-scan of your abdomen will help determine the right diagnosis.

Take cranberry/uva-urs/probiotics supplement. Increase water and fluids intake.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
