Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have urinary frequency. The things I ve noted are that: More days that not, I feel like I still have to pee after I urinate, sometimes I need to sit there and push to get all of my urine out, and I occasionally have a weird pain in my urethra. I think it s my urethra, it feels like it s outside. I have pain during intercourse and deep penetration. I ve tried to find patterns, but I can t find any. It doesn t happen every day and I can t notice any certain activities that bring it on. What should my next step be? This is a frustrating occurrence.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think that your symptoms are related to urinary tract infection. Some advices that I can give you are: • Antibiotics. Often, symptoms clear up within a few days of treatment. But you may need to continue antibiotics for a week or more. The type of antibiotics depends on the bacteria. • Stay hydrated. • Practice good hygiene. • Frequent urination helps eliminate the infection by moving bacteria out of the bladder.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
