What Causes Pain During Urination?

I had a bladder mesh installed some years ago. Could be 5, I just don t remember. Anyway, I have found in the past few days that when I urinate there is a sharp pain just inside. It isn t a bladder infection, I know what those are like. Could it be the mesh? Should I seek a OB GYN?

Urologist 's  Response
Hi
It still could be a urine infection and hence I suggest you get an urine analysis done. If negative, see an urologist who will possibly do a cystoscopy and ultrasound of urinary tract and pelvis to find the cause.

Mesh could be one cause of such pain but other conditions need to be ruled out too.
