What Causes Pain From Jaw To Chest During Pregnancy?

I m 40 weeks pregnant and started experiencing dull ache that starts in my lower left jaw and radiates into my chest filling my ribs with pressure and the pain continues into my back....does this have anything to do with my pregnancy? Should I be worried? It s only happened a couple of times, but the pressure and ache is scary. Thank you for your time.

Hello dear,i understand your concern. In my opinion it might be muscular pain or due to gastritis. It can also be due to pressure effect caused by growing uterus. It is nothing serious so dont worry. Some types of non specific pains are seen during pregnancy and they subside spontaneously.Check for the fetal movements. If any pain abdomen or leaking or bleeding is seen then consult doctor as they indicate labour pains.
Best regards,...Dr.Srilatha
