What Causes Pain, Heaviness And Tingling Sensation In Hands?

My husband has tingling in hands bilaterally. Mostly at finger tips. No neck pain. Also at times in both arms there is an ache but not pressure just a feeling of heaviness. He had a bunch of heart tests done and all clear. Could it be spine related. They didnt explore that or do spine xrays. Thoughts. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Yes it could be spine related since it occurs bilaterally. It could be caused by a vertebra which compresses a nerve root in the cervical spine region. It could also be cause by bilateral cervical rib or even apical lung diseases. Based on his age it could be any of these problems. If it is exacerbated by cold temperatures, it could also be Raynauds phenomenon. In any case, if i was your doctor I would order Xrays of the spine and even an MRI to rule out any spinal problems. Take care. Hope my answer was helpful to you. Kindly consult again if you have anymore queries. Thank you.
