What Causes Pain In A Toe With Redness And Sensitivity?
The middle toe on my left foot began hurting just before waking this a.m. and has continued thru the day. There has been no injury to the area. The end knuckle is red & super sensitive to touch and hurts constantly. Also feels swollen, even though it doesn t appear to be. Any ideas?

Sudden onset of pain in foot joint without any trauma with swelling and warmth is highly suggestive of gout. So I would suggest you should get your uric acid done and see your doctor.Until that you can use some pain killer like ibuprofen for pain relief Ice packs may also help relieve your pain.
