What Causes Pain In Abdomen During Urination Post Hysterectomy?
Hi, i just had a total abdominal hysterectomy conserving ovaries 2 weeks ago. The operation went well as i have less pain now and i am now taking less pain reliever.i also have normal urine and bowel movement, but my concern is that why i feel some pain inside on the lower right side of abdomen at the end of my urine? Also mild pain before my bowel? Also sometimes but i feel some tender and tolerable pain on that side but not very often? I had a bruce on that right side after operation, is it because of that? Also i have some headache like mild migraine sometimes although i rest most of time? I hope you can able to help me with my worries. Thank you

As per my clinical experience, there can be various concerns for the narrated complains post hysterectomy surgery. There can be issue of minor ureter kinking or swelling while manipulating during the adnexal removal of ovary and concerned ligaments. The residual pelvic collection involving Cul de sac may be another reason for the same.
The migraine type headache and heaviness indicates post spinal anesthesia effect most likely due to low hydration status. Plenty of liquids, foot end elevation and better analgesic supplements will help out in that. An ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis with urine microscopy may be a need of future time as per the clinician decision.
