General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Pain in and above the elbow is commonly caused by inflammation of the tendons (tendinitis) caused due to overuse, nerve irritations, injury / trauma, arthritis, tennis elbow, etc. You should give rest to your elbow from the daily chores of life. Elbow padding can give relief. You can take NSAIDS, Naproxen or Combiflam, one SOS when pain. Use pain relieving ointments or sprays (volini).

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get X-ray and CT / MRI if needed. Get blood tests for RA, OA, gout, urinalysis, NCV tests done to detect the pathology causing you discomfort. You will be treated accordingly. Take home made balanced, nutritious food rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin B6, B12, E. You can also take supplements.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
