What Causes Pain In Arm And Armpit?

I noticed my right bicep was sore yesterday and today it s worse and have a red line on my bicep. the pain is from the bend of my arm up to close to my armpit. It s sore to the touch and if I extend my arm. I haven t injured it so I don t know what it could be.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in arm and armpit . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like allergies , common Cold , heartburn , pulled Muscles , shingles , breast Cancer , cysts or cardiac problem like angina . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order test like chest x-ray , mammogram , blood test , ECG and physical examination to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti inflammatory along with analgesic . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist if he/she find problem to be related with heart problem . For now take proper rest , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen and apply warm compresses to armpits .
