Hi, Good After noon, I am having bulged disc problem in L5-s1 and have regular pain in back which is extending in right leg long standing and long seating is not possible for me now. I am a public speaker and need to stand 1 hr at a time . I am taking Nurice 75 daily and doing some exercise but relief is not significant. Please suggest what to do.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in back radiating to leg . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to nerve injury , pinched or compressed nerve ( Sciatica ) , which may occur due to your disc bulged problem . I would suggest you to continue exercises , apply hot compresses on back and take proper rest . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order x-ray , CT scan and MRI . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory and recommend particular type of stretching exercise or physical therapy . Doctor may also recommend surgery .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
