What Causes Pain In Back Radiating Towards Arm When Diagnosed With Nodules?

My room mate is a 32 yo white female who is having excurciating pain in her mid upper back, radiating to her left arm. No numbness or tingling, but a burning sensation. No loss of motor function. No recent trauma. She also has several nodules on her mid upper back and left forearm. They are painful if pressure is applied. She s been taking NSAID s but it s not working and now she just cries from the pain. She s never had this problem before and it s been going on for the past week. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I suggest you to take:
1. Diclofenac potassium powder for 5 days
2. Diclofenac Gel for 5 days
3. Apply hot bag massage
4. I advise you to take MRI of Spine and hand to rule out the diagnosis
If symptoms persist still kindly refer your physician

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
