What Causes Pain In Back, hip And Thigh After Taking Birth Control Pill?
I started the mini birth control pill a week ago, since then, I have had really BAD back, hip, thigh pains, is that normal? when before on a period, I never had much pains during a period, I started my period also a few days ago..... but the pain is just ridiculous
Mini birth control pill or progestin only pill is known to cause adverse effects like abdominal pain, cramps, pain in the extremities, weakness, anorexia, breakthrough bleeding etc. It is known to cause pain but not that severe. You can take tab. Ibuprofen or tab. Mefenamic acid for pain relief. You need to take twice daily for 3 days. If your pain doesn't come down, you may need to see a gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
