Hi,

Pain in the belly button and lower quadrant of abdomen may result from various causes. Among them, most common causes of such type of pain are indigestion, pain due to gastric problems, pulled muscle etc. Again, other underlying health conditions that can cause pain in belly button and lower quadrant of abdomen are appendicitis, ulcers, gastritis, inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gall bladder inflammation or stones, urinary tract infections, pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) like Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis etc.

Antispasmodic medications and anti-ulcerants usually can subside such type of pain. But, if this pain persists for long time or bother you, then you should consult your doctor first. Your doctor may advise some investigations like CBC, ultrasound, endoscopy of upper GIT, urine R/M/E etc., to find out the exact underlying causes for your present sufferings.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
