What Causes Pain In Body To Appear In Different Parts Of Body Moving Upwards.
2 weeks ago my ankle was swollen and hand pain to touch and when I would touch it. I had little red dots on my foot where it hurt. It traveled up my leg to my inner knee then to my thigh. I went to the ER because my doctor sent me there. They did an ultrasound and told me it was musculoskeletal. The pain went to my groin and now I feel it on the left side of my abdomen. I am a diabetic and have high blood pressure. I'm scared because I think I was misdiagnosed and may have DVT. I don't understand how pain can go in sections up the leg now in my abdomen and be musculoskeletal.
dear sir I can understand your concern. In my opinion duplex ultrasound with colour Doppler can pick up DVT with out any trouble.i guess your doc might have done same thing. the second scenario can be due to compression of nerve route at the level of spine, but usually it will be chronic with numbness of feet. the third senario can be due to asymmetrical proximal diabetic neuropathy.this condition is seen in long term diabetics the fourt and most common senario can be due to musculoskeletal pain which will subside with pain killers for 5 days..... kindly see for few days I guess you will recover regars Dr Vamsi krishna Diabetologist
