What Causes Pain In Both Sides Of Right Heel And Ankle?

I have pain on both sides of my right heel behind my ankle and wrapping around to the bottom of my heel. Not the back (Achilles tendon). It started about four months ago and has recently become more acute. It does get better when I walk but is very sore at the end of the day. I've tried icing my heel a few times a day but this hasn't helped so far. Thank you for your time and advise.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in both sides of right heel and ankle . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinitis . But there can be other reasons also like heel spur , gout , osteomyelitis , rheumatoid arthritis and wrong foot placement . I would suggest you to consult podiatrist for proper examination . Doctor may order X-ray and other imaging test and physical examination to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may also ask you to walk to check your walking and treat you according to diagnosis outcome .
