Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain soda creates more pressure in the stomach and it also acts as an irritant to the stomach lining which inturn lead to increase in the acid production from stomach.
High sugar containing foods also increases excess acid production..
Both these conditions can lead to irritation of the stomach and the oesophagus [when there is acid reflux] with the stomach acid leading to burning pain in chest..
In case of
chest pain and burning the best way to avoid is to limit the intake of the carbonated drinks, citrus juices like Orange juice, high sugar foods and refined and processed foods..
You can also take
antacid like Gelucil or
Digene half an hour before meals, take
proton pump inhibitors like
Pantoprazole 4O mg twice a day..
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration and helps in dilution of acid..
Hope this information helps..
