What Causes Pain In Chest While Breathing And Swallowing Food?

I have pain when I breath in. Pretty sure it is not heart. Pain is upper center chest, slightly to my right. EKG yesterday normal. Cardiac work up 6 mos ago good. Recent chest x-ray clear. Feels like when you swallow something that has trouble going down and irritates the esophagus, but doesn t hurt when swallowing, only when breathing in. Dr gave me some Omeprazole Dr 20 mg. Doesn t seem to be helping. Scheduling an endoscopy. Could it have anything to do with acid reflux? Janice YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

Yes, it is possible to be an acid reflux.
If your doctor thought so, then you should be patient until omeprazole gives his effect in a couple of weeks.
