Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI I am experiencing some pain on the left side of my chest. I m pretty sure it s muscular and heart rate is normal, pulse is normal. The pain is about the size of a quarter and in a round spot. No lump--just pain. It hurts when I breathe, and is severe if I touch the spot.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain in chest while breathing. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to cardiac problem. I would suggest you to visit cardiologist one and get it examined. Doctor may order ECG , TMT , complete blood profile and check vitals. Doctor may prescribe isosorbide dinitrate , beta blockers, aspirin, diuretic or sedative. Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for muscle spasm. For now take proper rest , do not exert your body and keep yourself relax . There can also be a problem like COPD and chest infection .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
