What Causes Pain In Clitoris?

For as long as I remember, I've had severe pain in my clitoris. Any direct contact will cause a sharp ache. This is incredibly upsetting... What could be causing it?
I'm 17, 5'7'', have a fainting disorder, dissociative disorder (which I'm afraid is due to sexual abuse), and am afraid of sexual intercourse. I believe in abstinence so I'm not planning on trying... but if I do find the right person I'm scared that my problem will get in the way.
