General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The airplane journey can pause problems particularly if the patient is operated previously for ear drum perforation. Due to sudden changes in the air pressure at high altitude. Taking care with ears covered with cotton plugs and certain maneuvers help great, though your operating surgeon is best person to guide further before the date of travelling in the flight.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
