What Causes Pain In Eye Despite Wearing Contact Lenses?

Hello, I just woke up in the middle of the night because my left eye hurt, when I touch it or move the eyelid across it- it hurts when I go across the edge of the iris on the left side of my pupil. I wear lenses but I got the whole lens when I took it out last night. That eye is very red and keep tearing. It feels like I have something there but nothing is there. I am getting worried, any thoughts?

it may be you have developed dry neyes and corneal errosion due to prolog use of contact lens. now you can discontinuethe contact lens and apply artificial tear eyedropp. during thistime you can use your specs.
