What Causes Pain In Eyes With Migraine?

I have been having chronic migraines with light sensitivity, pain above an eye, visual disturbances. The unusual thing I m noticing is that my eyes really hurt when I begin to cry- the actual eyeball as if my eyes are bulging out too far. It s not at all on the surface it feels like the muscles on the side of my eyes are actually being pulled. What is this?

Hello
It seems from the history that your having pain in the eyes with migraine.
Eye pain and symptoms like sensitivity to light, visual disturbances are seen in migraine aura. These symptoms will decrease with the treatment of migraine.
Since you are having chronic migraine you need prophylactic drugs like flunarizine or beta blockers like propranolol.
Hence I advice you to consult your physician for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
