What Causes Pain In Foot And Hips?

my 2nd toe on left foot and foot pad is very painful, difficult walking or painful when flexed, I have tried ice and anti-inflammatory gel with no success, it came on suddenly, but have got self diagnosied plantar faciatisis, also have lower back L5/S1 issues and sore hips, could this all be related. I am 47yrs old and generally in good health
