What Causes Pain In Front Part Of Throat On And Off?
Hi, I have a pain in the front part of my throat but it is not a sore throat. it comes and goes at days at a time and has been this way for quite some time. it hurts to swallow saliva, water or whatever, but I know it is not a sore throat just a scratching pain...would you know what that is?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in front part of throat on and off which seems to me that in your case the probable reason is acid reflux , which is responsible for throat pain. It could be due to bacterial/ viral infection of throat as well. You should take small meals and avoid large bulky meal at a time. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order blood test , oral biopsy , saliva measurement and allergy test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor will treat you as per result of diagnosis or may refer you to gastroenterologist . For now avoid carbonated drinks , spicy food , alcohol and acidic foods . Do warm saline gargles on daily basis.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
