What Causes Pain In Hamstring Radiating Towards Back Of Right Knee?
Hi, in the past week I had felt lower back pain which radiated to my groin and which have now both dissipated mostly thanks to my husbands massages and heat patch for my back. But now im experiencing pain in my right outer hamstring (Vastus Lateralis) which extends to the back of my right knee. It is very difficult to sleep. Is this related to my back and groin? What are some stretches or tips would you recommend for quick healing?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in hamstring radiating towards back of right knee . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like bakers cyst , hamstring , tendonitis , sciatica , meniscus tear , hamstring injury and muscle strain . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination .Doctor may order certain test like blood test for arthritis , physical examination and ask you to do certain movement . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory , physical therapy and also recommend particular stretching exercises . In rare cases doctor will recommend surgery . For now apply warm compresses on back of thigh and back of knee , start taking vitamin E and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
