What Causes Pain In Hands In Cold Conditions?

Pain in the right hand at nights especially when the room is cold. I took ibruprohen but the pain still wakes me up. I was using a paper cutter that was broken last week and had to use my right arm to press firmly so the paper could cut. Also, the shoots down my arm and only affects me when I am in bed and the room is cold. Not sure what to make of this
