What Causes Pain In Heel And Achilles Tendon?

I ve had pain in my heel, Achilles tendon , especially above the heel bone in the back. I ve had this before and it s gone away. Saw an orthopedic surgeon about it, but since it was getting better he didn t inject it. Ice makes it throb. Rest makes it hurt. Walking will help once I ve taken a few steps. It s very tender to even touch. That heel bone is much larger than the other foot. I don t even know what to ask about it. I wore an ankle brace today, but it didn t help.

hello there
you perhaps have a flat foot along with achilles tendinitis.. so you need to wear that brace for a longer time along with some stretching exercises to keep it well oiled and heeled.. oh yes the ice will help but you have to be patient and take a sabbatical for a few days from all foot activities including driving a car or motorbike
