What Causes Pain In Hip, Buttocks And Wrists When Diagnosed With Raynaud S Phenomenon?
Hi I am a 22 year old female. I ve been in a lot of pain ,sharp piercing pains in hip/butt area , achy hips , my right more often than left hand goes numb frequently especially waking up in the mornings , right wrist is in a lot of pain piercing pain going up forearm. This has been happening for a while now , I ve seen doctors who just send me away. I was diagnosed with Raynaud s phenomenon four years ago. I was just wondering if there s any suggestions on what to do in this situation.
Raynaud's phenomenon would be episodic occurrence of ischemic changes involving limbs as digits and toes which turn purple to blue when exposed to excess cold mostly. However, sharp pain in hips, buttocks and wrists do not co relate with Raynaud phenomenon.
Additional evaluation for associated arthorpathy, arthritis or others have to be considered with: - Lab tests for specific antibodies as anti ds DNA or others - Serum calcium, parathyroid hormone and phosphorus levels - Bone densitometry with DEXA scan - Bone scan with serial x-rays with or without MRI
If any of the reports are available with you, kindly share with me during follow up discussion for further guidelines and management protocol discussion.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
