What Causes Pain In Hips Radiating Towards Back?

I have been having aching hips at the top towards my back. Thought it might be muscular. I have been having pain in bed In the area between hip bones and ribs when I move in bed. This morning when I went to move in bed I got a severe burning pain on my left side in this area where I temporarily could not move because of pain. When I curled up in to embryo position the pain went. I have felt no pain all day

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain you are having may be muscular if you recently did any unexpected movement being unprepared for it. Possibly if you pulled or pushed something very heavy working or playing. You may wait for a week to feel better gradually. If it doesn't seem to be better it can be related to nerve compression possibly herniated disc issues. Take anti-inflammatory drugs such Ibuprofen or Naproxen. Use warm compresses to stimulate blood circulation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
